Snowflake Data Engineer

One of our clients is seeking a Snowflake Data Engineer to expand enterprise analytics, reporting and controlled data sharing.

Build Snowflake pipelines and data models for analytics, dashboards and operational reporting.
Integrate transactional systems, legacy platforms, third-party sources and partner-organization data.
Develop ELT workflows with IICS, Snowflake SQL, Snowpipe and cloud orchestration tools.
Improve data quality, reliability and performance through monitoring, testing, query tuning and pipeline optimization.
Apply governance, privacy and security requirements, including role-based access and data classification.
Partner with analysts, data scientists and business teams to turn policy and program needs into technical solutions.
Enable data sharing across organizations with appropriate access controls and audit trails.
Maintain platform standards, technical documentation and engineering best practices.

Experience designing and developing Snowflake solutions, including at least one year working with Snowflake Cloud.
Strong SQL skills and experience modeling data for analytics and reporting.
Experience with modern ETL or ELT and cloud services on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of data governance, security and compliance, ideally in a public-sector setting.
Ability to work across technical and business teams in a complex organization.
At least three years of full-time professional or practical experience in IT data analytics, or equivalent part-time experience, subject to the education substitutions below.
An associate degree in a relevant discipline may substitute for one year of the experience requirement.
A relevant bachelor’s degree may substitute for two years of the experience requirement.
A relevant master’s degree may satisfy the experience requirement in full.
